In the United States, the Pixel 4 is the first Pixel phone offered for sale on all major wireless operators at launch. Previous flagship Pixel models were released with the exception of Verizon and Google Fi; the mid-range Pixel 3A was also available in Sprint and T-Mobile, but not in R&T, with its release. As with all other Pixel releases, Google offers the US version unlocked through its website. The Google Pixel 4 is Android smartphones from the Google Pixel product line, which acts as the successor to the Pixel 3. The Phones were officially announced on October 15, 2019 and will launch in the US on October 24, 2019.
Hardware
The Pixel 4 and 4XL are built with an anodized aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 5. The devices are available only in black, obviously white and oh so orange, and the models in white and orange have a "soft touch" matte glass. Finishing, and a glossy finished black model. The USB-C connector on the bottom of the device is used for charging and audio input and is not included in the USB-C headphones or a 3.5mm USB-C connector adapter box. Both models use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip system (featuring eight Cryo 485 CPU cores and an Adreno 640 GPU), along with 6GB of LPDDRX RAM. Models are available with 64 or 128 GB non-expandable storage. The Pixel 4A features an OLED display with HDR support, which operates at a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz (to improve battery life and performance, the refresh rate automatically accelerates to 60 Hz outside of compatible applications). Both models use a larger 19: 9 ratio, with the Pixel 4 using a 5.7-inch (145mm) 1080p panel and the 4 XL 6.3-inch (160mm) 1440p panel. Unlike the Pixel 3 XL, the Pixel 4 XL doesn't have a "notch" at the top of the screen.
Camera
The Pixel 4 features dual rear-facing cameras, one with a f / 1.7 aperture with a 12.2-megapixel sensor and the second with a f / 2.4 aperture using a 16-megapixel telephoto lens. They have software improvements, including "night site" mode (using astrophotography to prove it with Google) and exposure controls.
Software
Pixel 4 comes with Android 10 .The device has several functions powered by "Pixel Neural Core" (successor to Pixel Visual Core): In addition to the current use of image processing, it is used by the new application "Recorder" (one with live transcription). Voice recorder and "new" Google Assistant, so that local commands on the device are more accessible to the client. Improvements to recognize the person (other than required to be sent to Google servers to query).
About this phone
No model includes fingerprint reader: facial recognition (which uses infrared emitters and cameras at the top of the device), the only biometric authentication method provided by Pixel 4. A lithium-ion battery works both, and the Pixel 4 using 2800mAh cell battery. The Google pixel 4 are capable of charging up to 18W fast and are compatible with the Kiwi wireless charge. Like their predecessors, the phones have a water safety quality.
